This is a fantastic little set top box. The included Android firmware is extremely spartan and difficult to use, but thankfully you can install CoreELEC on it very easily. I am running a build of CoreELEC that takes full advantage of the S922X-J and its VS10 engine. It can play Dolby Vision Profile 7 FEL, upconvert from HDR10 to DV, and even SDR to DV. If your display doesn't handle HDR+, it can *also* map it to DV. As far as I know, there is no other box on the market, even from the very expensive high-end home theater vendors, that can do all of these things. Even though I think that the included Android build is lousy, I am still giving the product five stars as its just that good with CoreELEC.

Performs as expected, correctly handles Dolby Vision and passes all lossless audio codecs. Wish it could handle casting from phone, but otherwise no complaints

My expectations were not high for this box but it was still incredibly disappointing. It comes with two remotes, neither of which are paired, so you have to plug in a wired keyboard to set it up. Once you get into the interface you find that the remote is useless anyway because the interface is not designed for it. You can navigate around but many buttons and fields have no feedback that you have selected them so you just have to guess what you might be clicking on. The second remote it came with is not compatible with it. It has a USB dongle which you can plug into the back of the device, but the remote constantly blinks with a pairing error code even though it is working and the dongle has no pairing feedback. Because of that the battery dies every 2 days, making it worthless. This thing is going in the trash. It costs way too much to be this terrible.
