Notice:
If you're using for iPhone that doesn't have a 3.5mm jack (like the for iPhone X),make sure you're using the original for Apple 8pin to 3.5mm adapter (or an equivalent that can connect to a microphone). Most replacement 8pin to 3.5mm adapters will not connect to the microphone.
Likewise, if you're using for Android device that doesn't have a 3.5mm jack, make sure you're using a USB C to 3.5mm adapter that can connect to a microphone.
